About Us

The Perfect team for over 30 years, together, married couple Jo and Jay Symington offer the Perfect home refurbishment experience.

From the initial concept of interior design and home styling through painting and decorating, refinishing floors, furniture upcycling and artistry, furniture sourcing, canvas artistry, as well as master DIY and garden projects, they offer the Perfect home refurbishment package.

Jo Shennan Symington

Jo Shennan Symington has always had an artistic flair and long been passionate about art and interior design, giving up her successful career in Event Management and Marketing to fulfill her dream and launch Imperfectly Perfect Furniture Art back in 2014.

Jay Symington

 

Jason Wade Symington has always been highly motivated and achievement orientated.  After a successful career as a Senior Marketeer spanning 30 years, 4 years which were spent with Wickes, he welcomed a new challenge, combining his strategic skills with his love of all things DIY.

Married to Jason since 1994 and mother to Olivia, Imogen and Oscar, Jo creates from her studio at home in Weston Turville, Buckinghamshire.  She always has a brush in her hand and paints daily, perfecting her skills and developing new techniques.

Since launching the practical side of the business, Jay has thrown himself in with passion and enthuasiam.

 

Whether Jay's painting walls, sanding floors or digging out patio's, he's prepared for every eventuality, and approaches his roles with both professionalism and a smile.

  Primarily focussed on commission work, Jo has an extensive portfolio and client's who travel from all over the UK, some as far afield as Cornwall, Norfolk and Teeside.

In the summer of 2019 Jo launched her first Imperfectly Perfect canvas art collection.  Proven to be hugely popular, they make the Perfect pairing, supporting her upcycling ethos and passion for abstract art.

Jay loves a challenge, his competitive nature utiilises his excellent problem solving skills to the fullest in all DIY scenario's.
